Rivendell Model
The Rivendell Model is a set of rules and procedures for citizens’ assemblies. Despite being designed for the town of elves at the foothills of the Misty Mountains, it can serve as a model for any city or country around the world. At the heart of the model is a governance structure involving a Coordinating Team, a Monitoring Team and the procedure of arbitration. Inside, you will also find information about assembly members rights, recruitment of stakeholders, work on recommendations, final voting method and more.
Since the Rivendell Model was first published in 2020, there were many updates to the formula, and the latest edition of the rulebook, as recommended by the Center for Blue Democracy, is presented below.
